Granddad & Nana's Birthday (Bob & Janice) (Mom & Dad)

We celebrated Granddad and Nana's Birthday with a few cakes made by Chef Mady with her Easy Bake.  Nick decorated their Home and Granddad made Mady's favorite Pie....Lemon!  (I'm not sure why we made Mady's favorite, but it worked!)

We continued the evening with a nice dinner together followed once again by a Dance Party!  We like to play Just Dance on the Wii!  It was a great evening and Granddad and Nana enjoyed another year of Easy Bake Cakes!  YUMMY!

Little Known Fact:  The Instructions on the Easy Bake say to eat the fully cooked product within 30 minutes of baking!  : /  LOL

Naval Museum, Pensacola, FL

Yesterday we took a 40 minute Ferry Ride.  It was cold, but a lot of fun to ride in our car across the water.  We passed a few Oil Rigs and Saw a couple of Pelicans!

Then we continued our adventure to the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, FL.  Granddad enjoyed being at the NAVAL Museum and Eric enjoyed being at the AVIATION Museum.   We had a great time climbing in airplanes and riding simulators.

Playing on the Island

We have been playing on the beach, went to Fort Gaines and lots of bike riding!

We found this fish on the beach while we were walking!  BLAH!

Lastly, here is Mady...."Mom, my feet were cold in the shower, so I filled my boots up with warm water!  They were nice and warm after that!"

Dauphin Island, Alabama

We are now on Dauphin Island, Alabama.  Today we went to a Sea Lab, hiked through the a Bird Sanctuary and played on the Beach.

It is VERY cold here, as is the rest of the country!  We are out on an Island on the very Southern Tip of Alabama.  It is a beautiful little island!  We will be playing here for a couple of weeks.

The kids are loving being at the beach even though it is very cold.  We play on the beach each day after school and visit the skate park so the kids can use their Heeley's they got for Christmas!  :)

Plantations and Tabasco

Yesterday, Monday, December 3rd we went to Nottoway Plantaion in White Castle, Lousiana.  We learned about the Sugar Plantaions in this area as well as some of the History of the Civil War and how it affected this area.  Very interesting!

After that we went to Avery Island to visit the Tabasco Factory!  This was a free tour with lots of information.  After receiving two tiny size bottles of Tabasco we got to sample Jalapeno and Sweet and Spicy Tabasco Ice Cream!  Have to say it was terrible, but the Tour was fantastic!  They produce 4 days a week making 700,000 bottles a day!

P.S.  Check out us girls in our matching Pink Flannel Shirts!  :)

Swamp Tour

Sunday we went on a Swamp Boat Tour in New Iberia, Lousiana....it was sooooo cold!  We bundled up and got to go all around the swamp!  Although it was mighty cold, we had a good time!

We learned the difference between a Swamp and a Bayou....A Swamp is still standing water a Bayou is moving water!

Monaghan's New Trailer

The Monaghan's traded the old one for a new one!  Yes, the Monaghan's purchased a new 5th Wheel!

We are enjoying our New Trailer's in the Bayou!  We are staying in a State Park in Louisiana for 2 weeks! The down side is, we have no cell service!  The upside is...the sounds of the frogs and owls and who knows what else are beautiful!

P.S.  Yes, our vehicles and Trailers are all the same colors!  LOL

Blue Bell Ice Cream Factory

Tuesday, we went to the Blue Bell Ice Cream Factory in Brenham, Texas.  The kids had a great time with Kennedy's!

The best part was we got to taste the Ice Cream afterwards!  :)
